I have had a passionate desire to see those around me excel in reading, writing and spelling since my childhood difficulties, and because of home instructing my own 5 children who overcame learning hurdles. I look forward to teaching others to be confident, successful readers by using specialized linguistic phonics.
I was born in Grande Prairie, Alberta making me a northern girl. I am the oldest of five girls. My family had plans to be missionaries to Pakistan but a tragedy hit our extended family, not allowing us to go abroad. Instead, we did farming and mechanics. My family moved to Prince George in 1993 where I met my husband and am happily married 29 years with 2 boys and three girls, two son-in-laws and one granddaughter. I love gardening in the summer; reading books about biology (like how our brains work), biographies and famous novels; I sing, mind-map, watercolor paint and run in my spare time.”
